Kapil Sharma, who is riding high on the success of his "Comedy Nights With Kapil" show, says if actor Sunil Grover decides to return, he will welcome him.

Sunil made it big as Gutthi on "Comedy Nights With Kapil", but quit the show and started his own "Mad In India" programme, in which he is seen as Chutki.

"If he wishes to come, then he is most welcome. I never wanted him to go either, but it was his own decision," Kapil told reporters here at an event organised to unveil comedian Sunil Pal's video "Vote For Sunil Pal", Thursday.

"Every person has a right to think about his own growth. Even I left a show to start my own. So if I can do, why not him! He has all the right to do that," he added.

Kapil further says he has never seen Sunil as a competitor and that a show's success depends on the entire team and not just one person.

"I have never seen him as a competitor as we have different time slots. Sunil is a very good actor, so wherever he will go, he will do good. But sometimes it happens that an actor is very good, but there are other things as well that makes a show successful."

"I would not say that 'Comedy Nights' is doing good only because of me, it depends on the whole team and I would say everything works in favour of you only by god's grace. My best wishes are with him," said Kapil who has recently shot an episode with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Sunil's "Mad In India" went on air in January this year on Star Plus, while "Comedy Nights With Kapil" started in June last year on Colors.

"Mad In India" is however, not generating enough TRPS despite celebrities like Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, yoga guru Baba Ramdev's appearance on the show.

Melinda and I attended TED this year, and the organizers asked us to suggest a few books that attendees might enjoy. I thought I’d share the lists we put together, starting with my picks.

Each of the books on my list had a big impact on my thinking and really informed my work. Four of them are quite optimistic about our ability to make the world a better place. The Vaclav Smil book makes clear that if we hope to address climate change, we’ll have to transform our energy infrastructure—and that will be harder than most of us might realize.
The Better Angels of Our Nature by Steven Pinker
Steven Pinker’s carefully researched study stands out as one of the most important books I’ve ever read. Pinker paints a remarkable picture showing that the world has evolved over time to be a far less violent place than before. It offers a fresh perspective on how to achieve positive outcomes in the world. A thoroughly worthwhile read.
Getting Better by Charles Kenny
I know from personal experience that stepping into the public square to announce that foreign aid is important and effective can be lonely work. Charles Kenny’s elegant book on the impact of aid carefully documents how the quality of life—even in the world’s poorest countries—has improved dramatically over the past several decades. With reams of solid data to support his case, he argues that governments and aid agencies have played an important role in this progress.
Behind the Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo
Katherine Boo spent three years getting to know the people of Annawadi, a slum of about 3,000 people on the edge of a sewage-filled lake in India’s largest city. Her book is a poignant reminder of how much more work needs to be done to address the inequities in the world. But it’s also an uplifting story of people striving to make a life for themselves, sacrificing for their families, and in their own way, being innovative and entrepreneurial in creating a vibrant local economy.
The Man Who Fed the World by Leon Hesser
Norm Borlaug is one of my heroes—and Leon Hesser’s biography is a fascinating account of Borlaug’s life and accomplishments. This is a story of genius, self-sacrifice, and determination. Borlaug was a remarkable scientist and humanitarian whose work in agriculture is rightfully credited with saving the lives of over a billion people.
Energy Myths and Realities by Vaclav Smil
Vaclav Smil is probably my favorite living author. If you care about energy issues, I recommend this volume, though its unvarnished look at the realities of energy use and infrastructure may be disconcerting to anyone who thinks solving our energy problems will be easy. Smil provides a rational framework for evaluating energy promises and important lessons to keep in mind if we’re to avert the looming climate crisis.
Here’s Melinda’s list, and the note she sent to TED about why she chose these books: “Those of us interested in development spend a lot of time thinking about what it takes to translate a great idea into results on the ground. Each of these books has helped deepen my understanding of how the global development community can drive and sustain meaningful change, even in the face of difficult circumstances. The Last Hunger Season by Roger Thurow
Roger Thurow movingly chronicles the lives of four Kenyan farmers as they struggle to support their families through the wanjala, Swahili for “hunger season.” This book is both about the importance of investing in Africa’s smallholder farmers and a compelling blueprint for doing it effectively. Thurow shows how, together, we can make this wanjala the last one.
However Long the Night by Aimee Molloy
This is the story of an extraordinary woman: Molly Melching. For more than 40 years, Molly has worked in Senegalese communities to help improve lives for some of the country’s poorest people. Her success is based on her insistence on working in close partnership with local communities. That way, change is always driven from the center out, not the top down. This book reinforced my own belief that developing communities already have the potential and desire to spark the change that will lead to better lives for themselves and their families.
In the Company of the Poor by Paul Farmer and Gustavo Gutierrez
Paul Farmer is longtime friend of mine, and through these pages, you can hear his voice and feel his deep personal connection to improving lives for people who are too often ignored. You also get a sense of his (and Father Gutierrez’s) intellectual commitment to changing the systems that lead to poverty, so that their work has a permanent impact.
Change by Design by Tim Brown
Design thinking is a model of problem solving that could have huge implications for global health and development. It’s an approach that recognizes that the people facing challenges have the best understanding of what solutions will really work for them—so we need to invite them to participate in the design process as well. So many of the women and families I meet already have the potential to lift themselves out of poverty. Design thinking reminds us that to unlock this opportunity, we have to first enlist their help.
Mighty Be Our Powers by Leymah Gbowee
In 2011, Leymah Gbowee became a global figure when she won a Nobel Prize for launching a grassroots women’s movement that led to peace in Liberia. This is an amazing tale of a group of women coming together to change the course of a country’s history—and it’s also the inspiring story of how Leymah overcame her own doubts and fears and found the courage to lead them.

CHANDIGHAR / LUDHIANA, Punjab (April 3, 2014)— Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal will be visiting Punjab on April 11, 2014 for three days. Advocate H.S. Phoolka, AAP candidate from Ludhiana constituency, has indicated that Kejriwal will visit all Lok Sabha constituencies of the state during the visit, and organize rallies for party’s candidates.
Near the end of March, Kajriwal led a road show in Chandigarh in support of AAP Candidate from Chandigarh Gul Panag, and received huge response from public. Advocate Phoolka, who has been fighting a legal battle for justice on behalf 1984 Sikh genocide victims, also participated in the road show.
Due to its pro-minority agenda, AAP has impressed the Sikhs very much, and many Sikh activists are contributing to its candidates. गुजरात के मंत्री पर उल्टा पड़ा केजरीवाल को घेरने का दांव.

गुजरात सरकार के एनर्जी और पेट्रोकेमिकल्स मंत्री सौरभ पटेल गए तो चुनाव आयोग से अरविंद केजरीवाल की शिकायत करने, लेकिन आयोग ने उनसे ही कुछ सवालों पर स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है। अंग्रेजी अखबार 'मेल टुडे' की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक आयोग ने सौरभ पटेल से अंबानी परिवार से उनके संबंधों के बारे में जवाब मांगा है।

गौरतलब है कि यह मामला आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल के आरोप को लेकर सौरभ पटेल द्वारा आयोग में शिकायत करने का है। केजरीवाल ने अपनी गुजरात यात्रा के दौरान नरेंद्र मोदी के करीबी माने जाने वाले सौरभ पटेल के 'अंबानी परिवार' से कनेक्शन का मुद्दा उछालते हुए उन्हें इस परिवार का दामाद करार दिया था।

अरविंद केजरीवाल ने यह भी कहा था कि पटेल को यह मंत्रालय इसलिए दिया गया ताकि वह गुजरात में रिलायंस पेट्रोकेमिकल्स को फायदा पहुंचा सकें।

राहुल की तारीफ करने के बाद पलटे वरुण

यूपी में बीजेपी के 'फायरब्रैंड' नेता के रूप में पहचान बनाने वाले वरुण गांधी ने अब अपने चचेरे भाई और कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी की जमकर तारीफ की है। वरुण ने एक सभा में बोलते हुए कहा कि सुल्तानपुर में लघु उद्योगों को उसी तरह बढ़ावा देने की जरूरत है, जैसे अमेठी में राहुल ने सेल्फ हेल्प ग्रुप का सफल प्रयोग किया। वरुण के इस बयान का कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने भी स्वागत किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह अच्छी बात है कि लोग हमारे कामों की तारीफ कर रहे हैं।

हालांकि, वरुण गांधी द्वारा राहुल गांधी की तरीफ किए जाने की खबरें आने के बाद वरुण ने सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट ट्विटर पर कहा कि उनके बयान को किसी राजनीतिक पार्टी या कैंडिडेट की तारीफ के तौर पर नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए। अपनी सफाई में ट्विटर पर वरुण ने आगे लिखा है कि पिछली रात टीचर्स और एनजीओ के साथ हुए बैठक में यह पूछे जाने पर कि क्या उन्हें अमेठी में सेल्फ हेल्प ग्रुप की पहल के बारे में पता है, उन्होंने कहा था कि उन्होंने खुद तो नहीं देखा है, लेकिन सुना है कि वहां अच्छा काम हो रहा है। वरुण ने यह भी कहा कि वह भी लोगों को सेल्फ हेल्प के जरिए सशक्त बनाए जाने पर जोर देते हैं।

गौरतलब है कि वरुण गांधी यूपी के सुल्तानपुर से बीजेपी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। उनकी मां मेनका गांधी भी बीजेपी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ रही हैं।

ध्यान रहे कि पिछले चुनावों में वरुण ने एक भड़काऊ बयान दिया था, जिसका दाग अब-तक उनके दामन पर है। ऐसे में इस बार वरुण गांधी वोटरों के सामने हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता का दम भर रहे हैं। सूत्रों की मानें तो वरुण को उनकी ऐसी कोशिशों का संघ परिवार के भीतर से विरोध झेलना पड़ रहा है।

गौरतलब है कि कुछ दिन पहले ही उनकी मां मेनका गांधी ने सोनिया गांधी पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था कि वह बताएं कि आखिर उनके पास इतने पैसे कहां से आए और वह दुनिया की छठी सबसे अमीर महिला कैसे बन गईं? ऐसे अब वरुण गांधी के इस बयान के कई सियासी मायने लगाए जा रहे हैं।

Missing plane MH370: Malaysia mystery ‘may not be solved.

Malaysia has warned that the reasons for the Malaysia Airlines plane's disappearance may never be known, as Prime Minister Najib Razak heads to Australia for talks on the search.

Malaysia's police chief said that their investigation could "go on and on".
Ten planes and nine ships are searching the southern Indian Ocean. A UK submarine has also joined the hunt.
Flight MH370 disappeared on 8 March as it was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. It was carrying 239 people.
Mr Najib will arrive in Perth, western Australia, on Wednesday evening. He will visit the new Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC), where the southern Indian Ocean search is being led.
He will meet Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and retired air chief marshal Angus Houston, who is leading the JACC.
'Isolated thunderstorms'

Teams have been searching for the plane for more than three weeks

Meanwhile, Malaysian police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said the criminal investigation could "go on and on and on. We have to clear every little thing."
"At the end of the investigations, we may not even know the real cause. We may not even know the reason for this incident," he said.
He added that police had "cleared" all the passengers of the four key areas being investigated: hijacking, sabotage, and psychological and personal problems, Malaysia's Bernama news agency reported.

British submarine HMS Tireless will also assist search efforts

Khalid Abu Bakar added that more than 170 interviews had been conducted with family members of the pilots and crew members, and that even cargo and food served on the plane were being investigated in case of sabotage.
Wednesday's search area is around 221,000 sq km (85,300 sq miles), but cloudy conditions, "sea fog and isolated thunderstorms" will reduce visibility for search planes, JACC said in a statement.
The British submarine HMS Tireless has also arrived in the southern Indian Ocean. It will soon be joined by Royal Navy ship HMS Echo.
The private jet of film director Peter Jackson has also joined the search.
On Tuesday, ACM Houston said it was the most challenging operation he had ever seen, and warned that search efforts "could drag on for a long time".
"The last known position [of the plane] was a long, long way from where the aircraft appears to have gone," complicating the task, he said.
Several floating objects have been found in recent days, but none is believed to belong to the missing plane.

ओएफबीजेपी का दावा

 

ओएफबीजेपी अध्यक्ष चंद्रकांत पटेल 'मोदी फोर पीएम' अभियान के लिए अमेरिका के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में यात्रा कर प्रवासी भारतीयों को एकजुट कर रहे हैं। चंद्रकांत पटेल का दावा है कि भारतीय-अमेरिकयों में मोदी के प्रति खासा उत्साह देखा जा रहा है। 

 

उन्होंने कहा कि ओएफबीजेपी व ऐसे ही दूसरे संगठन मिलकर अमेरिका में सौ से अधिक जगहों पर 'चाय पे चर्चा' आयोजित कर रहे हैं। पटेल ने बताया, "ये बैठकें छोटे शहरों में भी आयोजित की जा रही हैं, जहां भारतीय-अमेरिकियों की संख्या काफी कम है।"

Samsung chairman ordered to appear in Indian court.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - The Supreme Court has ordered Samsung Electronics<005930.KS> Chairman Lee Kun-hee to appear before a local court within six weeks to avoid arrest in a decade-old dispute with a supplier over a $1.4 million payment.
A two-judge panel ruled on Monday that an arrest warrant issued against Lee by a local court in Ghaziabad, near New Delhi, would not be executed for six weeks, according to an order posted on the court's website.
Lee will have to appear before the local court and can seek bail and an exemption from having to appear, the Supreme Court judges ruled.
Lee, 72, is South Korea's richest man with a net worth of $11.2 billion, according to Forbes. Samsung did not have any immediate comment on the Supreme Court order.
The Supreme Court's verdict came after an appeal by Lee, who local media said had sought to have the criminal proceedings against him dropped. The Supreme Court dismissed his petition.
"We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion in regard to the merit of the case," the panel of judges said in its order for Lee to appear.

We love T20 format, capable of defending title, says Darren Sammy

Cricket’s 20-over format is tailor-made for the powerful West Indians and there is no reason why they cannot become the first team to defend the World Twenty20 title in Bangladesh, skipper Darren Sammy said on Wednesday.
Currently ranked eighth both in test and one-day internationals, West Indies have emerged as a stronger force in cricket’s latest and shortest format, winning the World Twenty20 crown in Sri Lanka two years ago.
“We’ve a lot of experience,” Sammy told reporters ahead of Thursday’s semi-final against Sri Lanka, an opponent they beat in the 2012 final.
“Eight of our players play in the Twenty20 leagues around the world. I guess we love that format and the type of players we have in the dressing room are probably suited for that format.”

Teeming with power-hitters such as Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo, West Indies also have two excellent slow bowlers in Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree, who have troubled opposition in Mirpur’s spin-friendly track.
Group match victories against Bangladesh, Australia and Pakistan have convinced Sammy he has got the team that can lift the title on Sunday.
“We left the Caribbean with that as the motivating factor for us,” the affable all-rounder said.
“(In the) last World Cup, the mission was to win the World Cup. This year it’s to retain or defend the title. It’s something no team has done before. We are very confident we can do it.”
India won the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007, followed by Pakistan (2009) and England (2010).
“Once we play the brand of cricket we played in the last three games, there is every possibility we can,” Sammy added.
“Twenty20 is all about momentum and seizing the right opportunity. So far we’ve been able to do that and hopefully we can do that again Sri Lanka.”
Sri Lanka will also have the additional task of adapting quickly to the conditions in Mirpur, having played their group matches in Chittagong where heavy dew made life difficult for the bowlers, especially the spinners.
Sammy was happy with his team’s commitment.
“Guys wanted a day off after playing but we’re here practising (after Tuesday’s win against Pakistan),” Sammy said.
“(It) shows our focus, we are committed to the goal we left the Caribbean with, which is to defend the title. We broke it down in phases.
“We only have two more steps to take. We’ll focus on the semi-finals and once we’re in the final, anything is possible.”

फेसबुक पर न्यूड फोटो डालने वाली सहेली पर चाकू से किए 60 वार, मौत..!!

फेसबुक ने मैक्सिको में एक और वीभत्स घटना की नींव रखी. फेसबुक पर हुए विवाद को लेकर 16 साल की लड़की ने अपनी सबसे करीबी सहेली के पीठ में खंजर से 60 से ज्यादा वार किए.
एरेंडी एलिजाबेथ गुतिरेज उस वक्त बहुत नाराज हो गई जब पता चला कि उसकी दोस्त एनेल बाएज ने फेसबुक पर दोनों की न्यूड तस्वीरें अपलोड कर दी हैं. गुतिरेज ने सोशल मीडिया में दिए संदेश में बाएज (16) से कहा कि वह इस साल के आखिर तक जिंदा रही तो लकी होगी.
उसकी इस धमकी भरी टिप्पणी पर बाएज हंस पड़ी और उसे मैक्सिको के गआमुचिल स्थित अपने घर पर बुलाया ताकि दोनों के बीच सुलह हो सके.
पुलिस के मुताबिक, घर पहुंचने पर गुतिरेज ने बाएज पर चाकू से 60 से ज्यादा वार किए. हत्या के बाद गुतिरेज ने खून साफ करने और दूसरे सबूतों को मिटाने की कोशिश भी की. उसने खुद को बचाने की पूरी कोशिश की. बाद में उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया.

गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री और भाजपा के पीएम पद के उम्मीदवार नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंगलवार को कहा कि गुजरात के पतंग उद्योग को बरेली के मांझा की जरूरत है। उन्होंने साथ ही देश में बढ़ रही बेरोजगारी और बर्बाद हो रहे उद्योग धंधों के लिए राज्य और केंद्र सरकारों को निशाने पर लिया।
बरेली के महानगर मैदान में एक रैली को संबोधित करते हुए मोदी ने कहा कि गुजरात में पतंग का उद्योग 35 करोड़ रुपये से बढ़कर अब 500 करोड़ का हो गया है, लेकिन बरेली के मांझा उद्योग में कमी आ गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि चीन के माझा उद्योग ने बाजार पर कब्जा कर लिया है, जिससे बरेली के लोग बेरोजगार हो गए हैं।मोदी ने बरेली के उद्योग की बर्बादी के लिए उप्र की सपा सरकार और केंद्र की संप्रग सरकार को जिम्मेदार ठहराया। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि राज्य सरकार सो रही है और केंद्र सरकार की नींद ही नहीं खुलती। केंद्र सरकार पर तंज कसते हुए मोदी ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के लिए 365 दिन ही अप्रैल फूल है। उन्होंने कहा कि जब चुनाव आता है तब कांग्रेस को गरीब लोग दिखाई देने लगते हैं और वह गरीबों के नाम की माला जपने लगती है।उन्होंने कहा कि जब अनाज सड़ रहा था तो ये कांग्रेस की सरकार सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कहने के बावजूद गेहूं को गरीबों को नहीं दिया और बाद में औने-पौने दामों में उसे शराब बनाने वालों को दे दिया। गरीबों के साथ इससे बड़ा मजाक और क्या हो सकता है। मोदी ने जम्मू एवं कश्मीर में दो जवानों के सिर काटे जाने की घटना का भी जिक्र किया। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार जवानों की अवहेलना करती रही है।मोदी ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से कांग्रेस, सपा व बसपा ने मिलकर योजना बनाई है कि मोदी को रोकने के लिए देश में अस्थिर सरकार बनाई जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि जो लोग देश में कमजोर व अस्थिर सरकार बनाने की सोच रहे हैं, वे देश के सच्चे हितैषी नहीं हैं। उन्होंने मतदाताओं से अपील की कि वे भाजपा व उसके सहयोगी दलों के 300 सांसद चुनकर भेंजे ताकि देश को एक मजबूत और स्थिर सरकार मिल सके, तभी देश की प्रगति संभव है।नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने संबोधन के दौरान यूपी की अखिलेश सरकार को भी अपने निशाने पर रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार पर उन्होंने उप्र को गुजरात का शेर दिया, लेकिन यहां के मुख्यमंत्री कहते हैं कि उन शेरों को पिजड़े में बंद करके रखा है। उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री को गुजरात आने का न्योता देते हुए कहा कि उनके यहां शेर खुले में घूमते हैं, उन्हें वहां बांधकर नहीं रखा जाता।मोदी रैली में थोड़ी देर से पहुंचे। इसके लिए उन्होंने लोगों से कई बार मांफी भी मांगी। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि उनके हेलीकॉप्टर को दिल्ली से उड़ान भरने की अनुमति देर से दी गई। मोदी ने कहा कि उन्हें हवाईअड्डे पर लगभग डेढ़ घंटे तक इंतजार करना पड़ा। उसके बाद उनके हेलीकॉप्टर को उड़ने की अनुमति मिली।रैली में पार्टी की उत्तर प्रदेश इकाई के अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मीकांत वाजपेयी, महामंत्री स्वतंत्र देव सिंह और बरेली से भाजपा प्रत्याशी संतोष गंगवार भी उपस्थित रहे। www.yougets.com

बीजेपी की ओर से पीएम पद के उम्मीदवार और गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अगर देश के प्रधानमंत्री बनते हैं तो अमेरिका में 9 साल से उन पर लगा वीजा प्रतिबंध अपने आप ही हट जाएगा. इतना ही नहीं उन्हें राजनयिक छूट भी मिलेगी. अमेरिकी संसद की एक रिपोर्ट में ये बातें कही गई हैं. 'कांग्रेशनल रिसर्च सर्विस' ने अमेरिकी सांसदों को लिखे पत्र में कहा कि मोदी को उनकी पार्टी भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) के प्रधानमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार के प्रमुख दावेदारों में से एक माना जाता है. अगर मोदी भारत के प्रधानमंत्री बनते हैं तो वह अपने दौरों के किसी भी उद्देश्य के लिए राष्ट्र के प्रमुख के तौर पर ए1 (राजनयिक) वीजा पाने के खुद ब खुद योग्य हो जाएंगे.

Ending suspense, BJP on Monday fielded actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani to take on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
It also nominated Supreme Court lawyer Ajay Aggarwal against Sonia Gandhi in Rae Bareli.
Earlier, there was speculation that the party may field Uma Bharti from Rae Bareli. Sources said Bharti was not keen to leave her Jhansi seat to contest from Rae Bareli and there was no consensus on making her contest from two seats.
The decision on Irani and Aggarwal was taken at a meeting of the party's Central Election Committee, where top BJP leaders Narendra Modi, L K Advani, Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley were present.
The party decided to field Bhairon Prasad Mishra from the Banda Lok Sabha seat in UP.
New Justice Party (NJP) President A C Shanmugam will contest from Vellore Parliamentary constituency in Tamil nadu on BJP's Lotus symbol, said BJP General Secretary J P Nadda.
The CEC also announced that its state general secretary Karuappa M Muruganantham will contest from the Thanjavur Lok Sabha seat.
The party is also in advance talks with TDP for an alliance in Andhra Pradesh, but a decision on the issue would be taken by Tuesday, party sources said.
After the party announced her nomination, Irani said, "In the name of the 'family', the people of Amethi have been kept away from the fruits of development for too long. I think it is an extreme shame."
She said that a change will brought about in the country under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
